Wanhan Xing holds a master's degree in Asian Studies from Cornell University. Her interest lies in intellectual and cultural history, and her master's thesis deals with gardens in Luoyang and literati identity building in middle-period China. She is hoping to continue her studies through a PhD program, and to explore the dynamic interactions between people and their lived environment/space, particularly through the theoretical lenses of materiality, intersubjectivity and intermediality.
