Hope you have been doing well there! Please join me in welcoming a new
member to the Song Yuan listserv, Dr. Di Luo. Below please find Professor
Luo's self-introduction. Welcome to our community!

Di Luo is Chu-Niblack Assistant Professor of Art History and Architectural
Studies at ConnecticutCollege. She holds a PhD and a Master of Architecture
from the University of Southern California. Her work focuses on Buddhist
architecture in the global context and the application of digital
technologies in field research. Her recent publications include “Dome of
Heaven: From theLantern Ceiling to the Chinese Wooden Dome” (Oxbow, 2020)
and “Photogrammetry: A DigitalApproach to the Study of Chinese
Architecture” (*Ars Orientalis *50, 2020). Since 2014, she has implemented
photogrammetry in field research and published more than fifty 3D models on
Sketchfab as open-access resources to the public. Her digital scholarship
has benefited from her background as a trained architect and her previous
work experience in architecture design companies in Los Angeles and Beijing.
