Dear Members of the Society for Song, Yuan, and Conquest Dynasties Studies,

We have exciting news to share with you: the Journal of Song-Yuan Studies is now being published by Johns Hopkins University Press, both in print form and digitally on Project Muse. We will be joining JHUP's impressive lineup of Chinese history journals, including Tang Studies and Late Imperial China.

Starting with our new issue, Volume 51 (2022), scheduled for publication in March 2023 and currently available in digital form on Project Muse, JHUP will be responsible for distributing the Journal and managing subscriber services. They will provide our subscribers with a highly professional operation, ensuring the regular and timely printing and delivery of new as well as back issues.

Please consider this as a friendly reminder to renew your annual subscription, so that you will continue to receive the Journal's new annual issues as they are published, starting with Volume 51 (see the attached table of contents). Both print and digital-only subscriptions are now available for purchase at JHUP's website, with special pricing options for graduate students and retired scholars: https://ssycds.press.jhu.edu/membership/join

If you have already purchased a multi-year subscription, or have already renewed your subscription in 2023, it will be automatically and seamlessly transferred over to JHUP. But if you have any questions or concerns about your subscription, please contact JHUP customer service at 1-800-548-1784, or online at: https://www.press.jhu.edu/journals/customer-service/contact

We are grateful to the Institute for East Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley for distributing the Journal from 2001 to 2022. While our publishing partner has changed, the quality of the Journal's content and form will remain constant.

The Journal will continue to uphold the highest editorial and scholarly standards, as the premier scholarly journal specializing in the history, literature, and culture of China from 900 to 1400. Furthermore, we will continue to employ our in-house editorial and design staff, producing substantial annual issues featuring research articles and book reviews, as well as full-color illustrations.

Thanks for your continued support,

Congratulations! What an accomplishment!  I began as a reader of Sung
Studies Newsletter from its beginning, and I believe I still have the first
issue, I cannot hide the joy in seeing it grow, now, to be published by
Johns Hopkins UP.
Thank you for this exciting news!
