Dear All,
The newest member to the listserv is Isaac Yue (isaacyue at hkucc.hku.hk). As he explains, he began his career as a Victorianist focusing on the reconfiguration of Victorian cultural identity during the 1850s and 60s in his PhD thesis (King's College London). Since then, his attention has turned to issues concerning intellectual and cultural exchange between China and the West, mostly during the Qing dynasty, on which he has written a few papers. His interest in the Song-Yuan period was only developed recently when he decided to return to his earlier interest in the topic of cultural identity. He am currently working on a project that concerns the relationship between cultural identity and vernacular stories.
